IMPORTANT NEWS

Richard Fifer Now – Due to the spreading of unfounded rumors based on hypothetical accidents and tank ruptures and / or tubs at the Molejón Project, we must report the following:

1. No tank has suffered any kind of mishap, much less a break. We’re talking about heavy gauge metal tanks, which by basic principles of physics, would require a great force to break any of its walls holding water, fuel or any other fluid.

2. Each facility in which we have tanks, the same are protected by a contingency tub, which, by itself, has a 110% capacity to store the fluids from tanks, that is, if we open the tank valves, emptying them would not exceed the level of those tubs. We also have large tubs for emergencies, which are connected with all the other vats and with a 110% capacity of the total amount of liquids found in the local basins thus offering a final emergency containment capacity of 121% of those fluids

3. Our project also has two large tailing tubs in which we deposit all the material from leaching processes in other words, in those tubs the rocky and clay tailings material accumulates and takes the gold and silver, along with the fluids that are no loner used in the leaching process. leaching processes. These tubs have never registered, even following rain, a critical level and this is so, because they have been built with a capacity, based on studies of the characteristics of precipitation in the region over the last 100 years, so, rain fall at this time has not even set the critical level of the tub or let alone surpassed it.

4. Each time we record heavy rains, unscrupulous and irresponsible people are given the task of misinforming the local media and that a rupture has occurred or an overflow and that there is a presence of chemicals, which are not used in this project, Which is why our company, like any modern day responsible mining company, is always prepared to take whatever steps necessary at the site of the project, This includes decreasing the rate of production, as long as there is heavy rains to allow the tubs to fulfill their missions.

5. We have the capacity and also report, that we are about to finalize the construction of a third tub of tailings, which guarantees greater tailings storage capacity and rainfall, which is directly
related to our production.

6. Finally, we report that the competent environmental and mining authorities, such as ANAM and DG Mineral Resources MICI, still routinely perform the monitoring of all our processes and the water quality of water sources surrounding the project, having certified correct and proper handling by Petaquilla Gold of the industrial processes.

What’s your pick on the next emerging market?

Petaquilla Minerals  move their 100% owned Molejon Gold Project into Commercial Production, becoming the pioneers of modern mining in Panama. Richard Fifer is one of the Directors and founder of this project

August 16, 2010.

Luigi A. Jimenez H.

After what the market has been exposed in the last year with the bankruptcy of major banks and corporations. Investors are more cautious than before on where to put their savings.

It’s my opinion that the technology sector is going through a warping phase, which could lead to a future potential performance. Historically in the past year it has grown +14.63% overall. Technology is improving enormously, if we think we’ve seen it all, we will be amazed from all the new gadgets that 2011 will bring.

Another area that I foresee that could have great potential in the following years is the commodities market, having an overall growth of +5.2% in the last year. Within the commodities gold has had great acceptance with a +11.56% growth and safety sentiment attached to it. This has opened the window for emerging small cap gold companies looking to move their projects into production and also emerging gold producers to become attractive for a long term investment opportunity.

Locations like Latin American have become targets for juniors to explore. Panama for example, recently granted BBB- investment grade by Fitch, with an emerging economy and a pro-business government that has a pro mining vision, granted Petaquilla Minerals, Ltd. (TSX: PTQ), the approval to move their 100% owned Molejon Gold Project into Commercial Production, becoming the pioneers of modern mining in Panama. Richard Fifer is one of the Directors and founder of this project, along with Joao Manuel current President and CEO are looking to expand their current potential. Other projects of great importance within Panama are INMET Mining (TSX: IMN) flagship Petaquilla Copper Project that should be in production by 2014, leading the way for the future tenure of Cerro Colorado Copper Project currently owned by the government. Other countries with great potential are Colombia, Nicaragua and Costa Rica.

Testimonials on the Non Contamination by Petaquilla

Richard Fifer Now – Testimonial of the visit to the Project Petaquilla Gold, SA by the Donoso district Mayor, Feliciano Villarreta

Satisfied with the explanation given and having seen and felt the project “I am satisfied with the explanations you have given us, we thank you, we will remain open to the conversation, everyone has the right to think as they see fit, I have my own belief, you very well have told us how the project works and we will try to tell people the truth, nothing more, saying what you have told us and what we have seen and felt, “said Mayor Donoso.

Testimonial of the visit to the Project Petaquilla Gold, SA by Jose De Los Santos Betegón, mayor of the village of Rio Indio, Donoso District, “Look, the impression I had before arriving at Petaquilla Mine was very, very different, now that I had the opportunity to see and hear the explanations of the different specialists I have a very different view and I am clear that there is no problem as they say in the street and in the environment. I think that with what I saw and heard there is no contamination.

Our Names and Technology

Richard Fifer is not immune from this phenomenon.

Dale Carnegie sales and human resources seminars show there is nothing more pleasing to the ear than to hear your own name being said, so it is considered a fatal error to not remember the name of another be they a potential client, partner or lover.

With new technologies one finds ones name, something so precious, is not as unique as we believed. For example, I personally found while surfing the net, there is a Guatemalan General in the history of
this neighboring country whose name was Carlos Salazar, there is indeed a stadium named after him.

In Colombia there is an excellent football player and in Argentina a former world boxing champion, while in Panama the Manager of the President Remon Racetrack all have my same name, Carlos Salazar.
Other than having my same name, we have nothing else in common, I have not ridden a horse in my entire life, not played football, I am not a boxer nor am I in the military. The same will happen to Mario Mendoza, Jorge Ruiz, Joseph Dusek or Owen Vernon, they will have their counterparts in the world.

The father of modern mining in Panama, Richard Fifer, who by the way, this year organized the first basketball cup in his honor, is not immune from this phenomenon. People in North America and certainly in Europe and elsewhere, who have the same name yet do not necessarily enjoy the same prestige or authority. This situation occurs to Ricardo Martinelli, President of the Republic of Panama or Oscar Arias, outgoing President of Costa Rica. Personally, I would not be surprised that among my namesakes, there are some with an implausible life and career. If we look on the internet, surely we will not only find Carlos Salazars, but also Richard Fifers, as well as the names of prominent figures of Panamanian society and of any society wherein the naming of a newborn is at the liberty of the parent, therefore a name is not exclusive property of the user as you can well see by surfing the internet

Gold & Mining

By DON WINNER for Panama-Guide.comPetaquilla is going to announce the production of their first ounce of gold in either late December or early January 2008. When that happens you can expect a nice spike in the stock price, the last of three surges that happen to a gold or mineral stock for a company that’s bringing a mine on-line. They already had two earlier boosts, the first when they announced the intent to put the mine into production, and another when they started building their base camp. (more)

Forget About the Environmentalists: They are not going to be able to stop this project, which is protected by an organic law, the “Ley Petaquilla.” Take a look at the 5-year gold prices;

Now Over $800 per oz: The mineral deposits in the Petaquilla holdings hit profitability back at around $300 per ounce or so, and at $800 per ounce it’s a “no brainer.” Now, take a look at this annotated chart of Petaquilla’s performance as a stock (PTQMF)

Pit Mines are Ugly: And so is the underside of your SUV. But, there’s gold in them there hills, and they are going to have to cut down some trees and dig some holes in order to get at it. The government of Panama will be making 2% of the revenues, and in reality the gold is just a taste of what is to come – wait until they start exploiting the copper. The deposit in Panama could eventually turn out to be the biggest copper deposit in the world. Ugly, but profitable as hell.

Environment vs. Development: Hopefully Panama will create some kind of “Petaquilla Fund” to take the money that’s generated from this mining activity and to plow it back into things like infrastructure development in remote areas, as well as social programs and skills training for those living in poverty on the edge of civilization (where the gold is.) They can also use the funds to mitigate the environmental damage caused by the mining activity, and force (or make sure) that Petaquilla follows up on promises to do things right.

Anyway, PTQMF Is Still A “Buy” And it has been for years. I first talked about this stock (and bought some) when it was at .80 cents a share. Now, at $3.20 or so, it’s still going to see a nice bounce, then a long run up. My advice, buy and hold.

Mining: a natural part of our development

Richard Fifer NowPetaquilla Gold, the flagship of modern mining in the region, will play its role in the history of the beginning of a new era in mining

Mankind with its achievements with their strengths and defects has been able to achieve a balance between the uses of natural resources essential for survival while maintaining respect for the environment. In the beginning we were fruit pickers, somehow, accidentally or not, we tested the flesh of animals, then began to grow our own products, making us sedentary, while domesticated animals would supply our nutritional needs.

Along with all this development, we used tools, this is how the Stone Age began, therein man created tools out of rocks as their hunting implements, for defense and managed to cover other needs. Later we came to know the different uses of iron and thus was born the iron age, so that mining has been a faithful companion of humanity from its remotest beginnings using iron preceded by the use of copper and tin, known as the Bronze Age.

Humans have had to draw on mineral resources to survive and to lay the foundations of progress. There is no civilization or culture that has not collected and processed natural resources and minerals which, as a primary sector of all economies, has been fundamental to the very existence of the planet.

Gold appears in all these cultures as a good and not just any good, but the good that establishes the pattern of value or merchandise reference value and all important treatises economists from Smith, Ricardo, Marx and all their contemporaries.

That’s why exploration, search and study of new deposits of gold, is nothing other than a natural process of growth and development of humanity. The countries that are blessed with these sites, are also in the obligation to explore them responsibly, so it is imperative that the application of modern cleaner technologies be developed. Let us celebrate today in a responsible manner the beginning of a new era in mining and Petaquilla Gold, with its project Molejón, the flagship of modern mining in the region, will play its role in the history of that process, which started when our ancestors understood that with a rock you could develop tools.
